NATURAL STONE

About Natural stone material is quarried from the earth. They are subject to veining and variances including but not limited to color, pattern, shade, particulate structure, surface irregulars, texture irregulars, fissures, pits, or other variances that naturally occur in the stone are common and to be expected. Slab Viewing Customer will contact their Installer to discuss where to view a larger sample of the Natural Stone they have chosen for their countertop. This in-person or virtual slab viewing is their final chance to confirm and approve their choice of Natural Stone. If they decide NOT to view a larger sample of the Natural Stone, they fully and completely understand that there could be a variance of color, texture, pattern in their installed countertop. Finish Options • Polished: Also known as Hi-Gloss. • Honed: Also known as Matte. • Textured: Also known as Leather, Brushed, Concrete, Suede or Velvet. Characteristics: • Shade Variation: While more apparent in stones with heavy veining and movement, shade variation occurs in all natural stones and is more noticeable at seams. • Fissures: A naturally occurring small hairline crack, fissures are “an extensive crack, break or fracture in the rock, which may contain mineral bearing material.”* (*According to The American Geological Institute.)
