Wilsonart Thinscape by Sage Surfaces Countertop Purchase 1. Lowe’s will issue a Purchase Order (P.O.) to the Sage Surfaces CFI. Typically, this is completed within 24 hours after payment. 2. The Sage Surfaces CFI will contact the customer within 48 hours after receiving a complete P.O. from Lowe’s to schedule a time to template the customer’s home. 3. Customer countertop will be templated by the Sage Surfaces CFI. At the time of template, the customer will be asked to confirm their purchase selections made at Lowe’s. a. If at the time of template the customer asks to modify the original Lowe’s P.O. (e.g. any requests to change the color, edge treatment, sink, etc.), the Sage Surfaces CFI will be required to submit a change order request through the Lowe’s IMS or IME/MIC System. Additional charges may apply. b. The Sage Surfaces CFI must upload the post template drawing and process a change order (if applicable) 1 business day after template. 4. Once the template is finalized, the customer will be contacted by the Sage Surfaces CFI with an installation date. Countertop installation is usually completed within 14 business days from the date of template. Installation times can be extended during periods of high product demand. 5. Once the Wilsonart Thinscape by Sage Surfaces countertop is installed, the customer (or a dedicated decision maker 18 years or older) MUST be present to inspect the countertop. After the countertop has been inspected, the customer will be asked to sign a Lowe’s Certificate of Completion form confirming their satisfaction with the work completed. Minimum purchase of 25 Square Feet Required A 25 square feet minimum purchase, per color selection, is required for all Lowe’s purchase orders.

Wilsonart Thinscape by Sage Surfaces Countertop Installation

1. All required products and/or information (e.g. sink selection if not included with the countertop, cooktop/range or other cut-out items), must be available at the time of template. If all required products and/or information are not available at template, the Lowe’s store will be notified immediately. As a result, another template date will be scheduled. This will delay the fabrication and installation of the customer’s job and could result in additional charges. 2. Wilsonart Thinscape by Sage Surfaces countertops are generally installed within 14 business days from the date of template, provided all required information and/or products are available during the customer’s scheduled template appointment. Installation times can be extended during periods of high product demand. 3. The Sage Surfaces CFI will complete countertop template/installation between the regular business hours of 8AM - 5PM, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. The customer, or a dedicated decision maker (18 years or older), must be present at all times during the template and installation process. 4. Once countertop confirmation has been made at the time of template, no further changes can be made without incurring a restocking fee.

Wilsonart Thinscape by Sage Surfaces Return Policy 1. Contact your Sage Surfaces CFI immediately for all returns/cancellations. 2. Countertop cancellation prior to template date – CFI receives 0%.

3. Template completed and then customer cancels order – CFI receives local store detail fee. 4. Fabrication complete, customer cancels order, but top not installed - CFI receives 75% of P.O. cost. 5. No refunds on installed goods.

Dark Colors

Dark colors require more maintenance and cleaning. Under everyday use, darker colors will show dirt, dust, rubs, fingerprints and watermarks easier than lighter color patterns. Please speak to a Lowe’s kitchen specialist for more information.

Color Consistency

1. Wilsonart Thinscape by Sage Surfaces Countertop is subject to veining and slight variances, including but not limited to, color, shade, particle structure, surface irregularities, or other variances. These variances are not covered by the10-year Limited Warranty. 2. We can’t guarantee that printed representation of colors and in-store samples will be identical to the customer’s countertop selection. The performance of the customer’s countertop will not be affected by these variances and their countertop will not be replaced due to variances between printed samples and actual product.

Kitchen Cabinets 1. Kitchen cabinets must be plumb, level and secured to the walls and/or floor.

a. The countertop must lie flat within 1/8” to eliminate stress on the corners, cut-outs and seams. b. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure cabinets are plumb, level and square. c. All cabinetry and end panels must be completely and permanently installed (set and level) prior to the date countertops are scheduled to be field templated. Cabinets resting on top of the countertop (e.g. appliance garage, etc.) must be installed after the installation of the countertop. Adequate Support 1. The surface type and material thickness dictate the amount of overhang permitted on a countertop. The

countertop can support an overhang of: • 0-6” Overhang - No Support needed • 6-18” - Bracket or Corbel required • 18-24” - Brackets AND supporting legs

The Thinscape countertop can support and overhang of 6” without adding additional brackets or corbels. However, at least 70% of the total countertop must be supported by cabinets, an island, kneewall etc. All overhangs in excess of those previously mentioned will require corbels or brackets. Overhangs 18” to 24” require corbels or brackets, and supporting legs. All support brackets, corbels and supporting legs must be installed prior to field template. New or existing cabinets must be structurally sound to withstand the weight of the countertop. Fasten to cabinets with 1/8” beads and dabs of 100% silicone, DO NOT use mechanical fasteners, Insert method only.

Literature

Literature photography should be used for reference only as printed representation will vary from the actual product. The customer should view an actual product sample prior to their final selection. When choosing a color or finish, please refer to samples only as a general indication of a particular color’s design pattern, aesthetics, hue, and finish. Product samples are not guaranteed to be an exact replica of the customer’s countertop selection and may vary slightly from the actual installed product.

Wilsonart Thinscape by Sage Surfaces Countertop Seams

All Wilsonart Thinscape by Sage Surfaces countertops will have visible seams. An acceptable seam will be smooth, but can be felt. Seam placement and the exact number of seams will be at the discretion of the CFI. The CFI can show you where the seams will be located on your countertop. The exact number of seams is dependent on your countertop layout. All requests for fewer seams, or no seams, will also be at the discretion of the CFI. Please note, requesting fewer to no seams will increase your square foot cost.

Wilsonart Thinscape by Sage Surfaces Material Thickness

Thinscape is a slab product - 1/2” thick - cleaner look that you see with European cabinets. In this case, the thinner material performs at a high level. Impact resistant, Stain Resistant, Heat Resistant. No sealer or additional maintenance and upkeep is required. Lightweight and durable. Thinscape can emulate many different materials - marble, quartz, soapstone, metal, woodgrain looks. High performing product with high end looks.

Customer Countertop Tearout/Installation

1. Incidental Damage – Final wall preparations (e.g. painting, wall papering, etc.) should not be completed prior to installation if at all possible. Care will be exercised during the countertop installation; however, scrapes, punctures or digs to wall surfaces are possible, as are scratches and scrapes to cabinetry. These items are considered incidental damages and are the customer’s responsibility to repair. In most instances, cabinets can be easily repaired with a cabinet touch-up kit. 2. During the installation process it’s possible the CFI will make a number of entries from their outside work area to the kitchen. As a result, please communicate a pathway you want the CFI to use. Please note, the pathway should be of sufficient size, since they will be carrying large countertop pieces and cannot carry these items through tight areas. 3. Installation of a countertop is a construction process and residual dust should be expected. The customer may want to drape or cover areas to help contain the dust to the construction area. The job site will be left in broom-clean condition. 5. Prior to tearout/installation, please remove all items on top of the countertops, and all items in the lower portion of countertop cabinets. The CFI may also ask the customer to remove any additional items that may impede tearout and/or installation. 6. The customer should discuss the use of sinks and appliances with the CFI after installation. Typically, the customer can plan on being without the use of sinks and appliances for two days. 7. The installation of countertops may require “field work” (trimming the countertops) to ensure the best possible fit. This procedure is usually performed in a driveway or other designated area, provided there isn’t any inclement weather. As a result of any inclement weather, and in the event the customer doesn’t have a covered outside work area, the CFI may have to reschedule the installation. 4. Please contact Lowe’s, or a licensed electrician or plumber, if you need any electrical or plumbing work done.

Routine Cleaning

1. Wilsonart Thinscape by Sage Surfaces countertops are easy to maintain. By following the recommended care and maintenance, it will help ensure your thinscape surface remains beautiful for many years. 2. To clean the surface, use a damp cloth or sponge and a mild soap or detergent. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and wipe dry. 3. Although Wilsonart Thinscape by Sage Surfaces countertops are resistant to stains, spills should be cleaned as soon as possible. Difficult stains such as coffee or tea can be removed using a mild household cleaner/ detergent and a soft bristled brush, repeating as necessary. 1. Heat – Hot pans and heat-producing appliances (such as electric skillets), when set directly upon countertops, can mar the product’s beauty. Always use a heat shield, hot pad or trivet. 2. Scratches – although Wilsonart Thinscape by Sage Surfaces is resistant to scratches, cuts and chipping, cutting directly on the surface should be avoided. Using cutting boards and taking care not to drop or move heavy objects on the surface, will help to ensure long-lasting beauty. 3. Chemical – Avoid exposing Wilsonart Thinscape by Sage Surfaces to any strong chemicals and solvents. It is important to note that some of these chemicals and solvents can be found in household cleaners. Abrasive, acidic or household cleaners containing bleach are to be avoided. Preventing Damages

Chemicals to Avoid Wilsonart Thinscape by Sage Surfaces countertops have a sophisticated appeal and are easy to maintain. When cleaned properly their beauty is long-lasting. If you are a new owner of a Thinscape countertop, you may not know what to do when cleaning them. a. Acidic or abrasive cleaners can damage Thinscape surfaces. Do not use them. b. Drain cleaners containing lye will permanently damage any Wilsonart Thinscape surface. If you spill a drain cleaner, wipe it up immediately and rinse with water. c. Hair, textile and food dyes can cause permanent stains. If dye should happen to spill, wipe it up immediately with dishwashing detergent or an all-purpose cleaner. d. Do not work with oven cleaners on an unprotected countertop. Wipe spills away promptly and rinse several times with water. e. Rust removers contain harsh chemicals which will quickly cause permanent damage. If a spill occurs, wipe off all residue immediately, wash thoroughly with soapy water and rinse several times. f. Steel wool and other abrasive pads will damage Wilsonart Thinscape. Do not use them for cleaning and don’t store steel wool pads on your countertop; the metal can rust and leave stains. g. Toilet bowl cleaners contain harsh chemicals that can cause permanent damage. If spills occur, wipe up immediately, wash surface with soapy water and rinse several times.

Sage Surfaces Stainless Steel Sink Care and Maintenance 1. Sage Surfaces proudly offers 16 and 18 gauge stainless steel sinks, quartz, and farmhouse/apron front sink options. For General Care & Cleaning: 1. After each use, rinse thoroughly. To minimize mineral deposits or water spotting, wipe the sink dry with a clean, soft cloth. 2. Avoid any abrasive cleaners such as steel wool or scrub pads, as this will dull the finish. 3. Avoid having household cleaning agents such as bleach sit in the sink, as this may damage the finish. 4. Stainless steel does not rust; however, use of appropriate stainless steel sink cleaning agents is recommended for removing various surface residues. 5. Scratches are normal in any sink material. With regards to stainless steel, most minor scratches can be softened with Soft Scrub ™ , a Scotch Brite ™ pad, and deep cleaning agents such as Comet ™ . Rub across the entire surface and rinse thoroughly. Additional Cleaning 1. Different contaminants such as dirt, dust and soil will vary greatly in the effect, appearance, corrosive probability and ease of removal. While some may be easily removed, others may require specific cleaners for effective removal. Frequently, warm water with or without a gentle detergent is sufficient. Next in line are mild, non-scratching abrasive powders, such as typical household cleaners: Bar Keepers Friend ® , Flitz ® , Gordon’s Miracle Shine ® and Shiny Sinks Plus ® . All of these products are available at most grocery and hardware stores, and it is recommended to follow the cleaning instructions on the product. 2. Do not use abrasive cleaners to clean your Sage Surfaces stainless steel sink. Items such as steel brushes, steel wool and scrub pads, will tarnish the finish and make the sink look dull. These items should be avoided, as they may leave particles imbedded on the surface which can lead to rusting. 3. Do not let household cleaning products, such as bleach, sit in your sink for a long period of time as it will damage the finish of your sink.

Scratches 1. For minor scratches, combining a wet Scotch Brite ™ pad with a cleansing agent, such as Flitz ® , will soften the appearance of scratches and disparities. Please rub the agent with the “grain” of the existing finish and continue to rub across the sink’s entire surface. Rubbing against the grain or in one spot will produce poor results. Once the rubbing process in completed, the sink should be rinsed with clean water and towel dried. Surface Stains and Rust 1. Surface residue such as hard water stains, tarnish, rust and lime deposits should be treated with any of the following cleaning products: a. Bar Keepers Friend ® b. Gordon’s Miracle Shine ® c. Flitz ® Please follow each cleaning agents directions. Once clean, wipe off any excess water with a clean, dry towel.

Sage Surfaces Fireclay Sink Care and Maintenance

The cleaning and care of a fireclay farmhouse sink isn’t much different than other sinks. Fireclay is stain resistant and rust proof (because it doesn’t contain metal like an enameled cast iron sink), so food tems that are typically aggressive stainers can simply be wiped away. Here are a few tips for the ongoing cleaning and care of your fireclay sink:

1. Clean the sink on a regular basis with mild cleaners and a soft cloth 2. Dry your sink with a soft cloth to prevent water spotting 3. Scrape off heavier gunk with a plastic spatula or scrub it off with a Breeze scrubber 4. Use baking soda (or a mild abrasive cleaner) to clean off crusted on gunk 5. You can even apply a wax to the sink, about once a month, to help with liquid flow

Do I need to be at the home during the measuring and installation phases?

A. We recommend you, or someone over the age of 18, are at the home during the template/measure process to answer any potential design questions and provide input on seam locations. You, or someone over the age of 18, must be present during installation as well. Q. Can I cut on my Wilsonart Thinscape ® by Sage Surfaces countertop? A. Use of a cutting board is recommended. Q. Can my Wilsonart Thinscape ® by Sage Surfaces countertop be damaged? A. Yes, this product can be damaged. We recommend using trivets and cutting boards when placing hot materials on the countertop or cutting. Q. Can I set a hot pan on my Wilsonart Thinscape ® by Sage Surfaces countertop? A. No, it is not recommended to place a hot pan directly on the surface. Q. Can my Wilsonart Thinscape ® by Sage Surfaces countertop chip or crack? A. Once properly installed it will not crack under normal circumstances. Extreme home settling, or shifting foundations, can cause cracks and we do not recommend you stand on the countertops. Q. Are seams visible? A. A colored epoxy resin is used during installation which is mixed with colored crystals to match the countertop color as closely as possible; however, you will be able to see and feel the seams. Q. How do I clean my Wilsonart Thinscape ® by Sage Surfaces countertop? A. Can be cleaned with any mild cleaner such as warm water with dish soap. If you choose to use soap and water, the soap can build up on the surface leading to a duller appearance. Avoid using vinegar, bleach, ammonia or other general purpose cleaners. All spills should be cleaned up as soon as possible.

Q. Will my countertop color look like the online or in-store sample? A. The online and in-store sample is a color reference only and may vary from store to store. Q. Where can I use Wilsonart Thinscape ® by Sage Surfaces? A. Wilsonart Thinscape ® by Sage Surfaces countertop is suitable for kitchen countertops, vanity units and other custom designs. Q. How do I support overhang? A. Anything with an overhang of more than 6”, needs to have a support. Please consult one of our CFI’s to determine what support is required and your options for the support. Note: Wood decking is used to further support the countertops and will likely be exposed. Trim work is typically required and will not be the responsibility of the CFI.

Are you concerned you might accidentally drop a cast iron pot on the edge of your sink and chip your beautiful new Quartz or Granite countertop? Well, set your mind at ease and get the Chip Minimizer. A slightly rounded edge along the inside of your sink cutout, the Chip Minimizer has been proven to reduce chipping due to impact while adding a beautiful finish edge to the sink cutout.

OVERHANG BRACKETS Help strengthen your countertop overhang.

Extended countertop overhangs are fantastic for entertaining or for family togetherness. Support brackets may be required for overhangs 6” or greater dependent upon material or location and are at the discretion of your fabricator. They provide key support keeping your stylish countertop functional for years to come.

THINSCAPE ® Countertops

Routine Cleaning 1. Wilsonart Thinscape by Sage Surfaces countertops are easy to maintain. By following the recommended care and maintenance, it will help ensure your thinscape surface remains beautiful for many years. 2. To clean the surface, use a damp cloth or sponge and a mild soap or detergent. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and wipe dry. 3. Although Wilsonart Thinscape by Sage Surfaces countertops are resistant to stains, spills should be cleaned as soon as possible. Difficult stains such as coffee or tea can be removed using a mild household cleaner/ detergent and a soft bristled brush, repeating as necessary. Preventing Damages 1. Heat – Hot pans and heat-producing appliances (such as electric skillets), when set directly upon countertops, can mar the product’s beauty. Always use a heat shield, hot pad or trivet. 2. Scratches – although Wilsonart Thinscape by Sage Surfaces is resistant to scratches, cuts and chipping, cutting directly on the the surface should be avoided. Using cutting boards and taking care not to drop or move heavy objects on the surface, will help to ensure long-lasting beauty. 3. Chemical – Avoid exposing Wilsonart Thinscape by Sage Surfaces to any strong chemicals and solvents. It is important to note that some of these chemicals and solvents can be found in household cleaners. Abrasive, acidic or household cleaners containing bleach are to be avoided.

WHAT IS COVERED: Wilsonart ® THINSCAPE ® Performance Tops Wilsonart LLC (“Wilsonart”) warrants that Wilsonart ® THINSCAPE ® Performance Tops, under normal use and service, will be free from stain and fade defects for a period of ten (10) years from the date of purchase by the original consumer purchaser and will be free from manufacturing defects and conform to published specifications for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase by the original consumer purchaser (“Warranty Period”) This warranty applies only to a THINSCAPE ® Top, which has been installed in an interior application and remains installed at that location (“Warranted Product”) and is extended only to, and may be enforced only by, the original consumer purchaser. THIS WARRANTY IS NOT TRANSFERABLE . This warranty is expressly conditioned upon submission of proof of date of purchase. WHAT IS EXCLUDED: This warranty shall not apply to damage arising from any of the following: 1. Accidents, abuse or misuse; 2. Exposure to extreme temperature and humidity; 3. Improper fabrication or installation; or 4. Improper maintenance or repair. WHAT WILSONART WILL DO IF YOUR CLAIM IS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY Wilsonart will provide, at no cost and with delivery prepaid, a Wilsonart ® THINSCAPE ® Performance Top to replace the Warranted Product. Wilsonart will not pay for removal of the Warranted Product or for fabrication, or installation of the replacement THINSCAPE ® Top, or any other costs. No replacement under the warranty shall extend the Warranty Period. Any replacement is limited to colors and styles of Wilsonart ® THINSCAPE ® Performance Tops available at the time of replacement. Exact color matches may not be possible. If the original color or style is no longer available, Wilsonart has the right to substitute another THINSCAPE ® Top of equal or greater value than the Warranted Product.
