Clean and Safe Surfaces Derivati Porcelain is nonporous, preventing moisture, bacteria, mold and mildew from penetrating the countertop surface. It is extremely durable and is easily cleaned with mild soap and warm water. It is important not to use cleaning products that contain acids or ammonia (and other harsh chemicals) as these can amage the glossy surface of the material. You should always dry your porcelain thoroughly after cleaning and avoid leaving puddles on the porcelain surface.

Derivati Porcelain Countertop Purchase 1. Lowe’s will issue a Purchase Order (P.O.) to the Derivati Certified Fabricator Installer (CFI). Typically, this is completed within 24 hours after payment. 2. The Derivati CFI will contact the customer within 48 hours after receiving a complete P.O. from Lowe’s and then schedule a time to template the customer’s home. 3. Customer countertop will be templated by a Derivati CFI. At the time of template, the customer will be asked to confirm their purchase selections made at Lowe’s. a. If at the time of template the customer asks to modify the original Lowe’s P.O. (e.g. any requests to change the color, edge treatment, sink, etc.), the Derivati CFI will be required to submit a change order request through the Lowe’s IMS or IME/MIC System. Additional charges may apply. • The Derivati CFI must upload the post template drawing and process a change order (if applicable) 1business day after template. 4. Once the template is finalized, the customer will be contacted by the Derivati CFI with an installation date. Countertop installation is usually completed within 14 days from the date the CFI receives the final purchase order from the store. 5. Once the Derivati countertop is installed, the customer (or a dedicated decision maker 18 years or older) MUST be present to inspect the countertop. After the countertop has been inspected, the customer will be

asked to sign a Lowe’s Certificate of Completion form confirming their satisfaction with the work completed. Derivati Countertop Installation 1. All required products and/or information (e.g. sink selection if not included with the countertop, cooktop/ range, or other cut-out items) must be available at the time of template. If all required products and/or information are not available at template, Lowe’s will be notified immediately. As a result, another template date will be scheduled. This will delay the fabrication and installation of the customer’s job, and could result in additional charges. 2. Derivati countertops are generally installed within 14 days from the date of template provided all required information and/or products are available during the customer’s scheduled template appointment. Installation times may be extended during periods of high product demand. 3. The Derivati CFI will complete countertop template/installation between the regular business hours of 8AM - 5PM, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. The customer or a dedicated decision maker (18 years or older) must be present at all times during the template and installation process. 4. Once countertop confirmation has been made, at the time of template, no further changes can be made without incurring a restocking fee. Derivati Countertop Return Policy 1. Contact your Derivati CFI immediately for all returns/cancellations. 2. Countertop cancellation prior to template date – CFI receives 0%. 3. Template completed and then customer cancels order – CFI receives local store detail fee. 4. Fabrication complete, customer cancels order, but top not installed – CFI receives 75% of P.O. cost. 5. No refunds on installed goods.

Dark Colors Dark colors require more maintenance and cleaning. Under everyday use, darker colors will show dirt, dust, rubs, fingerprints, scratches and watermarks easier than lighter color patterns. Please speak to a Lowe’s kitchen specialist for more information. Color Consistency Derivati Porcelain is made from natural minerals. As a result, variation in color and pattern are unique traits to be expected of this product. The Derivati 15-year Limited Warranty does not cover color variance, and a Derivati countertop installation will not be replaced for these unique, inherent traits. Kitchen Cabinets Kitchen cabinets must be plumb, level and secured to the walls and/or floor. a. The countertop must lie flat within 1/ 8 ” to eliminate stress on the corners, cut-outs and seams. b. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure cabinets are plumb, level and square. c. All cabinetry and end panels must be completely and permanently installed (set and level) prior to the date countertops are scheduled to be field templated. Cabinets resting on top of the countertop (e.g. appliance garage, etc.) must be installed after the installation of the countertop. Adequate Support The surface thickness and edge type dictate the amount of overhang permitted on a Derivati countertop. The countertop can support an overhang of: without additional brackets or corbels. However, at least 70% of the total countertop must be supported by cabinets, an island, knee wall, etc. All overhangs in excess of those previously mentioned will require corbels or brackets. All support brackets and corbels must be installed prior to the field template. New or existing cabinets must be structurally sound to withstand the weight of the countertop. *Taking into account that the countertop has been reinforced all around the edge and front to back supports every 24” Literature Literature photography should be used for reference only as printed representation will vary from the actual product. The customer should view an actual product sample prior to their final selection. When choosing a color or finish, please refer to samples only as a general indication of a particular color’s design pattern, aesthetics, hue and finish. Product samples are not guaranteed to be an exact replica of the customer’s countertop selection and may vary slightly from the actual installed product. • Up to 6” (Eased Edge) • Up to 12” (Miter Edge)*

Derivati Countertop Seams 1. All Derivati countertops will have visible seams. An acceptable seam will be smooth, but can be felt. Seam placement and the exact number of seams will be at the discretion of the fabricator. The fabricator can show you where the seams will be located on your countertop. The exact number of seams is dependent on your countertop layout. All requests for fewer or no seams will also be at the discretion of the fabricator. Please note requesting fewer to no seams will increase your square foot cost. Derivati Material Thickness 1. Derivati Porcelain comes in slabs. Each slab is fabricated into a variety of design applications. 2. Derivati countertops are available in 12mm thickness (1.2cm). 3. Derivati slab size is 64” X 127” 1cm Eased Edge 1. Derivati colors Bonfire Grey and Constellation will have a darker edge and appear grey and black respectively.

2. All other Derivati colors, including Bonfire Grey and Constellation, will have a gloss finish on the edge. The deck surface for Ivory Escape, Fossil, Bonfire Grey, Artisan and Stark will be a matte finish, while the deck surface for Mogul, Constellation, Pillar, Paragon and Everest White will be a polished finish. 3. Finished edge will have a 2mm bevel with two rounded edges of .5mm each.

The top of the edge (small micro-bevel) will be in a gloss finish while the deck surface and edge drop-down will be in a matte finish for Ivory Escape, Fossil, Bonfire Grey, Artisan and Stark and a polished finish for Mogul, Constellation, Pillar, Paragon and Everest White. 3. Finished edge will have a 2mm bevel with two rounded edges of .5mm each 4. Radius corners are not available with a miter edge.

Customer Countertop Tearout/Installation 1. Incidental Damage – Final wall preparations (e.g. painting, wall papering, etc.) should not be completed prior to installation if at all possible. Care will be exercised during the countertop installation; however, scrapes, punctures or digs to wall surfaces are possible, as are scratches and scrapes to cabinetry. These items are considered incidental damage and are the customer’s responsibility to repair. In most instances, cabinets can be easily repaired with a cabinet touch-up kit. 2. During the installation process it’s possible your Derivati CFI will make a number of visits from their outside work area to the kitchen. As a result, the customer should communicate a pathway they want the CFI to use. Please note the pathway should be sufficient size since they will be carrying large countertop pieces and cannot carry these items through tight areas. 3. Installation of a countertop is a construction process and residual dust should be expected. The customer may want to drape or cover areas near the installation area. The job site will be left in broom-clean condition. 4. Please contact Lowe’s or a licensed electrician or plumber should you need any electrical or plumbing work done. 5. Prior to tearout/installation, please remove all items on top of the countertops, and all items in the lower portion of countertop cabinets. The CFI may also ask the customer to remove any additional items that may impede tearout and/or installation. 6. The customer should discuss the use of sinks and appliances with the CFI after installation. Typically, the customer should plan on being without the use of sinks and appliances for about two days. 7. The installation of countertops may require “field work” (trimming the countertops) to ensure the best possible fit. This procedure is usually performed in a driveway or other designated area, provided there isn’t any inclement weather. As a result of any inclement weather, and in the event the customer doesn’t have a covered outside work area, the CFI may have to reschedule the installation.

Derivati Countertop Care and Maintenance

Routine Cleaning 1. Derivati Porcelain Countertops are easy to maintain. It is a nonporous material that is highly resistant to stain, scratches and heat. However, it’s not scratch or heat proof. By following the recommended care and maintenance it will help ensure your Porcelain surface remains beautiful for many years. 2. Simply clean with soap and water on a regular basis and wipe dry. 3. Use a microfiber cloth to remove dust from the surface. Clean your Derivati countertop daily if necessary. Derivati countertops can be washed with warm water to which a detergent can be added, used in the dose recommended by the manufacturer. Rinse with warm water and dry with a cloth. 4. Avoid products containing hydrofluoric acid and its derivatives. If liquids are spilled, it must be dried immediately. The faster you clean and dry spills, the easier it is to remove stains. It’s not advisable to use waxes, oil soaps, impregnating agents or other treatments (hydro-oil repellent) on the product because its application is not necessary. Some of the detergents currently on the market contain waxes or polishing additives that after several washes can leave an oily film on the surface. Preventing Damages 1. Heat – Derivati countertops are designed to be resistant to heat and can withstand exposure to normal cooking environments for brief periods of time without being damaged. Although Derivati countertops withstand heat better than most surfacing materials on the market, all surfacing materials, including Porcelain, can be damaged by extreme temperature changes, whether prolonged or sudden. Please use trivets and hot pads when placing hot skillets, pans, crock-pots or other heat generating kitchenware on the surface. 2. Scratches – Although Derivati countertops are resistant to scratches, cuts and chipping, cutting directly on the Porcelain surface should be avoided. Using cutting boards and taking care not to drop or move heavy objects on the surface will help to ensure long-lasting beauty. 3. Stains – Take care to avoid exposing porcelain to permanent inks or dyes, as these might not be removable. If porcelain surfaces are exposed to permanent marker or dye, rinse the area with water as soon as possible then apply approved cleaning product. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Although porcelain is resistant to stains from juice, wine, coffee and other food substances, it is best to wipe up spills immediately to prevent possible stains.

Stainless Steel Sink Care and Maintenance 1. Stainless steel sinks are made from the highest quality 18-gauge 304 series alloy stainless steel, with 18/10 chrome-nickel content. Stainless steel sinks are extremely durable, rust-free, and most importantly hygienic. For General Care and Cleaning: 1. After each use, rinse thoroughly. To minimize mineral deposits or water spotting, wipe the sink dry with a clean, soft cloth. 2. Avoid any abrasive cleaners such as steel wool or scrub pads, as this will dull the finish. 3. Avoid having household cleaning agents such as bleach sit in the sink, as this may damage the finish. 4. Stainless steel does not rust; however, use of appropriate stainless steel sink cleaning agents is recommended for removing various surface residues. 5. Scratches are normal in any sink material. With regards to stainless steel, most minor scratches can be softened with Soft Scrub, a Scotch Brite ™ pad and deep cleaning agents such as Comet. Rub across the entire surface and rinse thoroughly. Additional Cleaning 1. Different contaminants such as dirt, dust and soil will vary greatly in the effect, appearance, corrosive probability and ease of removal. While some may be easily removed, others may require specific cleaners for effective removal. Frequently warm water with or without a gentle detergent is sufficient. Next in line are mild non-scratching abrasive powders such as typical household cleaners including: Bar Keepers Friend ® , Flitz ® , Gordon’s Miracle Shine ® and Shiny Sinks Plus ® . All of these products are available at most grocery and hardware stores and it is recommended to follow the cleaning instructions on the product. 2. Do not use abrasive cleaners to clean your stainless steel sink. Items such as steel brushes, steel wool and scrub pads will tarnish the finish and make the sink look dull. These items should be avoided as they may leave particles imbedded on the surface which can lead to rusting. 3. Do not let household cleaning products such as bleach sit in your sink for a long period of time as it will damage the finish of your sink.

Stainless Steel Sink Care and Maintenance

Scratches 1. For minor scratches, combining a wet Scotch Brite ™ pad with a cleansing agent such as Flitz ® will soften the appearance of scratches and disparities. Please rub the agent with the “grain” of the existing finish and continue to rub across the sink’s entire surface. Rubbing against the grain or in one spot will produce poor results. Once the rubbing process in completed, the sink should be rinsed with clean water and towel dried. Surface Stains and Rust 1. Surface residue such as hard water stains, tarnish, rust and lime deposits should be treated with any of the following cleaning products: a. Bar Keepers Friend ® b. Gordon’s Miracle Shine ® c. Flitz ® Please follow each cleaning agents directions. Once clean, you should wipe off excess water with a dry towel.

Q. What is Derivati Porcelain? A. Derivati is made up of natural materials including clay, feldspar and other natural minerals and pigments. The manufacturing process applies 5,000PSI of pressure at 2200F degrees which sinters and fuses the particles together. Q. What are the advantages of Derivati Porcelain surface countertops? A. A high performing surface, Derivati is nonporous preventing unwelcome germs, bacteria and mildew. It does not require sealing, conditioning or polishing and is highly scratch, stain, heat, impact and water resistant. Derivati is 100% eco-friendly and is UV resistant. Q. What Derivati Porcelain surface products are available? A. Each Derivati slab is fabricated into a variety of design applications. Derivati is available in 12mm (1.2cm) thickness and comes in a slab size of 126”x63”. Q. How do I care for my Derivati Porcelain surface countertop? A. Use a microfiber cloth to remove dust from the surface. Clean your Derivati countertop daily if necessary. Derivati countertops can be washed with warm water to which a detergent can be added, used in the dose recommended by the manufacturer. Rinse with warm water and dry with a cloth or similar. Any liquid spills, fruits, vegetables, or other foods should be wiped up and cleaned with soap and water. Q. Is Derivati Porcelain scratch and impact resistant? A. Because Derivati is made up of natural materials and is manufactured using extreme heat and pressure, the surface is highly scratch and impact resistant. However, as with any surface, sudden impact, excessive force/pressure, or misuse can damage the stone surface. Q. Can you cut directly on the Derivati countertop? A. Although Derivati is highly resistant to scratches, it is always recommended to use a cutting board to prevent any dulling of the surface or your knives. Using a cutting board will also prevent metal knife stains on the countertop surface. Q. Can hot plates and pans be placed directly on the Derivati countertop? A. While Derivati Porcelain can withstand heat, we still recommend the use of hot pads or trivets when using cooking units such as electric frying pans, crock-pots, or toaster ovens. Prolonged exposure to heat can damage your Derivati countertop and such damage is not covered by warranty. Q. Is Derivati color consistent? A. Derivati Porcelain is made using natural materials and variances in color, pattern and shade are common and normal, as they are in other stone products. The 15-year warranty does not cover color variance and the Derivati countertop will not be replaced for these unique, inherent traits.

Q. Will my Derivati countertop have seams? A. Derivati is not a seamless product; seams are generally visible. Inspection for color coordination across seams and multiple pieces is strongly recommended. The exact number of seams in a countertop will depend on the shape of the countertop and whether or not you specifically request fewer or no seams. Seam placement is at the discretion of the fabricator. Please note that requests for fewer or no seams will increase the square footage units that must be purchased, thereby increasing the price. Our Derivati certified fabricator installer can show you where seams will be placed on your countertop. Q. Will the small sample piece I have match my countertop once it’s installed? A. Variance in color, shade and pattern is an inherent trait expected of the Porcelain product. Samples are cut from large Derivati stone slabs and only represent a limited portion of the actual stone. Please refer to samples only as a general indication of a particular color’s design pattern, aesthetics and hue. Samples are not guaranteed to be an exact replica of Derivati slabs and may vary from the actual, installed product. Q. Will dark colors require more maintenance? A. All dark colors of any Porcelain material require more maintenance. Under ordinary use darker colors will show dirt, dust, rubs, fingerprints and watermarks more readily than lighter colors patterns. Naturally these colors require more care to maintain their appearance. Q. Can I place food directly on my Derivati countertop? A. Yes, given that it is nonporous, Derivati countertops are very hygienic as it avoids fungus or other bacteria. Q. What does my Derivati 30-year Limited Warranty cover? A. Sage Surfaces warrants to the original end user - purchaser/owner in the U.S., that its Derivati porcelain sheet products used in the fabrication of the Derivati countertops and sinks shall be free from manufacturing defects under normal conditions of use and service. This warranty will apply to the repair or replacement of failed product that has been permanently installed in the owner(s) residence. Sage Surfaces obligation to repair or replace shall furthermore be limited to the repair or replacement with colors, styles and finishes of products which are available at the time of repair or replacement. The option to repair or replace product failures due to manufacturing defects shall be exercised at the exclusive discretion of Sage Surfaces. The 30-year Limited Warranty is transferable and only applies to the Derivati products for interiors and exteriors, in residential applications in the U.S. This warranty is void unless the product has been paid in full. In accordance with this 30-year Limited Warranty, the authorized agents of Sage Surfaces shall be granted sufficient opportunity and time to inspect the product, and also assess and respond to any claims. All decisions concerning the existence of manufacturing defects in the Derivati porcelain sheet used in the fabrication of the Derivati countertops and sinks shall be made by Sage Surfaces and shall be final and binding for all parties. Residential Derivati Porcelain 30-Year Transferable Warranty

Derivati porcelain by Sage Surfaces comes with a 30-Year Transferable Warranty. Sage Surfaces warrants that Derivati porcelain will be free from any defects for intended residential use for the original purchaser in the residence in which it is permanently installed. Sage Surfaces provides detailed information in its product literature regarding appropriate application, installation and maintenance for this product. Failure to comply with these guidelines void this warranty. For this warranty to be effective, you must (1) be able to provide a completed warranty form with accompanying documentation and (2) be in compliance with the conditions of this warranty. To qualify for any warranty claims such as repair or replacement, you will need to provide the original dated sales receipt or other documentation to demonstrate proof of purchase and documentation to demonstrate proof of proper installation.

Implied Warranties Transferable in Duration and Scope

The Federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act limits disclaimers of implied warranties involving consumer products. To the maximum extent allowable by federal and state law, this warranty supplements or supersedes federal and state consumer goods warranty protections. There are no warranties extended beyond the description on the face hereof.

General Terms and Conditions for Derivati Porcelain

Derivati porcelain carries the specific warranties listed above. In addition to the requirements specified above, the following general terms and conditions also apply. If you have questions regarding this warranty, please contact Sage Surfaces. 1. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and the first installation of 12mm thick Derivati porcelain and may not be transferred. This warranty applies only to first quality Derivati porcelain purchases made after the edition date of these warranty conditions for the designated time period when the product is installed in a private residence and according to the Sage Surfaces recommended installation instructions. 2. This product warranty only applies to manufacturing defects inherent to the material supplied. Defect is defined as a shortfall in the product to perform to Sage Surfaces’ specifications as disclosed in product literature, within industry allowable tolerances as set forth in standard, national industry protocols. Sage Surfaces will repair or replace the product, at its discretion. When replacement of the product is made, only new products from the current product range at the time the complaint is upheld will be supplied. Sage Surfaces reserves the right to discontinue or modify any of its products and shall not be liable if replacement material varies in color intensity, hue, or shade in comparison to the original product. There will be no other form of compensation. Responsibility under this warranty only applies to hidden defects. These are defects that were not visible before or during the installation of the product. Sage Surfaces will not cover labor costs to replace or reinstall the Derivati Porcelain. Sage Surfaces can never be held liable and is not responsible for any secondary damages, incidental damages or consequential damages. 3. This warranty does not cover damage to the product caused by installation or fabrication errors. The product must be installed following the appropriate installation instructions using approved accessories, if applicable. Installation and fabrication defects are not covered by this warranty. 4. All warranty claims must be reported immediately. Failure to report any warranty claim within thirty (30) days of defect discovery will void this warranty. All products must be inspected prior to installation. Installation of products with visual defects or nonconformities apparent prior to installation voids this warranty. 5. Failure to comply with recommended applications voids this warranty. Commercial applications are not covered under this warranty, which includes but is not limited to use in hotels, shops, offices and other commercial establishments.

6. Proof of compliance with the installation and maintenance instructions recommended by Sage Surfaces must be provided if a claim is filed. 7. Sage Surfaces will not be liable for, and this warranty does not apply in the event of: any failure, defect, or damage (including but not limited to crumbling, chipping, cracking, breakup or change of color) resulting from or connected with misuse, abuse, neglect, or improper handling or storage. Customer misuse including negligence, physical, or chemical abuse is not covered by this warranty. Products exposed to abnormal use or conditions will not be covered under this warranty. 8. This warranty does not cover scratches. Proper care, such as using cutting boards, must be exercised as part of your care and maintenance. 9. This warranty will not be valid if the countertop was not paid in full. 10.This warranty does not cover appearance or performance of unions, seams, adhesives, or any other accessory materials. 11.Color, hue or shade differences resulting from material added to an existing installation at a later date and non-warranty repairs are excluded from coverage. 12.Photographic color images may not be an exact product match. Product samples are representative only and may not be an exact match to supplied materials due to variations in batch manufacturing or naturally occurring stone. Supplied materials may have slight differences in color, shade, and/or surface appearance. 13.Under no circumstances will Sage Surfaces be responsible for any loss of time, inconvenience, expenses, costs or other consequential damages caused by or resulting directly or indirectly from a problem about which a claim was made. 14.Any services provided as part of this warranty do not extend the original warranty period. 15.This express transferable product warranty excludes all labor costs. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation on incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. If the laws of a particular state require terms other than or in addition to those contained in this warranty, this warranty shall be deemed modified so as to comply with the appropriate laws of such state, but only to the extent necessary to prevent the invalidity of this warranty or any provision of this warranty or to prevent the imposition of fines, penalties or any liability. 16.No person has authority to make representations other than those in this writing. Any representations made in connection with the sale of this product that differs from the terms of this warranty are not valid and should be brought to the attention of Sage Surfaces immediately (877-648-3706).

To Make A Claim:

1. The original purchaser must notify a Sage Surfaces customer service or an authorized representative in writing within 30 days of the discovery of any defect.

2. No claim will be honored without product inspection by Sage Surfaces or an authorized representative.

3. Upon determination that the product defect claim is valid, Sage Surfaces will notify the purchaser in writing. Sage Surfaces reserves the right to repair or replace the originally-purchased product, at its sole discretion.
